You really would be hard pressed to find a campsite in a more beautiful position. It is located on high ground with panoramic views over the High Weald of Ashdown Forest and on to The South Downs. It is absolutely stunning.
Despite its high position, much of the area is surrounded by ancient woodland and there are plenty of mature trees so that the camping area itself is quite sheltered and tranquil, even on the windiest days.
The camping ground covers some 20 acres and although the washing area and WC's are situated centrally, guests can effectively choose whether they want to be close by or they can pick a spot which is totally secluded. Really, whatever suits you, although be warned, the furthest point could involve a walk of some ten minutes to the central area!
We are only offering a few pitches this year, so the campsite facilities are basic offering cold water only and WC facilities. Our aim is to maintain the beauty and tranquility of this special area, so the camp will suit those who are looking for a back to basics camping experience, with camp fires rather than Kiss-Me-Quick hats!
Children are of course very welcome and they have the whole 20 acres to run around in, explore and let off steam, in total freedom and safety.
As animal lovers, well behaved dogs are also welcome, but as conservationists, we do insist they are kept on a lead at all times. We live in a very special place and as committed organic farmers, the cycle of wildlife and nature form an idyllic and necessary balance which we have a duty to maintain - not to mention protecting our domestic animals and wild game from injury.
